We are searching for a strong candidate with a degree in Biology or related field with a strong molecular and cellular background and some knowledge of Immunology. The Research Scientist I will work with a Senior Research Scientist to develop new lentiviral and nanoplasmid based immunotherapies and validate for use in clinical trials utilizing GLP practices. Scientific work will focus on molecular assays including cloning, qPCR, vector construction, and transfections; cellular assays including mammalian cell culture, viral transductions, ELISAs and western blotting; and immunological assays including flow cytometry and cytokine assays. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a team setting with a degree of creativity and latitude, prioritize multiple complex scientific protocols and procedures with minimal oversight, and contribute to the design, execution, trouble-shooting and interpretation of experimental results.
- Bachelor’s Degree in biology, microbiology, immunology, molecular biology or biochemistry.
- Prior experience in a laboratory setting.
- Research experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, and tissue culture techniques is highly preferred.
