Under the direction of supervisor and/or program director develops, optimizes and performs histology, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence and in support of research programs. Maintains records. Troubleshoots procedural and technical problems. Performs data entry of specimen information. Acts as a technical resource for research staff, students, and trainees.
- Associate’s (A.A./A.S.) degree or higher in histotechnology from accredited College/University or approved hospital-based histotechnology program, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two years of experience as a bench technologist in histology.
- Degree in histotechnology from accredited College/University or approved hospital-based histotechnology program, or equivalent combination of education.
- Two (2) years of experience in standard and complex histological and histochemical techniques, and the development of novel immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence detection methods.
