  • Overview

    We are seeking an Occupational Therapist or Speech and Language Pathologist to join our infant therapy feeding team.  This position serves infants birth to 1 year of age with primary issues around feeding. Inpatients will be seen throughout the hospital, including the NICU, PICU, CICU and acute care units. This position will also include outpatient services to infants referred by community providers and hospital clinic. We work as part of multidisciplinary teams throughout the hospital and outpatient clinics, with strong associations with Pulmonary, Cardiology, ENT, Craniofacial, GI, Neonatology, Medical and Surgical teams. We promote strong relationships with families to support the feeding skills and development of our patients, for optimal functional outcomes.

    Requirements

    Occupational Therapist:

    Required Education/Experience:
    - Bachelors Degree in occupational therapy from accredited university.

    Required Credentials:
    - Current Washington State license to practice as an occupational therapist.
    - BLS

    Preferred:
    - Masters Degree in occupational therapy.
    - Experience in acute care pediatric occupational therapy.

     

    Highly Preferred:

    - Five years of experience in infant feeding

    - IBCLC or breastfeeding/lactation experience

     

    Speech-Language Pathology:

    Required Education/Experience:
    - Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.  
    - Experience in pediatric diagnostic or treatment settings.

    Required Credentials:
    - Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).  
    - Washington State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

    Preferred:
    - Pediatric hospital experience. 
     

    Highly Preferred:

    - Five years of experience in infant feeding
    - IBCLC or breastfeeding/lactation experience
