  • Overview

    Responsible for leading all aspects of provider and academic financial management, working in collaboration with UWSOM Dean’s Office, Department Chairs, Division Chiefs, and Department Directors; SCH Senior Operations, Finance and Service Line leaders; and CUMG Leadership. Accountable for strategic development of financial systems, processes, and controls to support effective management and operations of Children’s Employed Providers and CUMG Physician finances.


    Identify, evaluate, recommend, and implement initiatives to improve financial performance, develop and evaluate business plans for existing and new programs, and partner with academic and clinical leadership to design efficient systems and models to support budget management. Provide oversight for the accounting and financial functions for Children’s Employed Providers, CUMG Faculty, and physician service agreements. Oversee development and management of SCH clinical provider incentive plans for CUMG professional members and SCH employed providers, and represent SCH interests in collaboration with UWSOM leaders on academic incentive plan design.


    Required Education/Experience:
    - Master’s or Advanced Degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field, and demonstrating an advanced level of competence.
    - At least ten (10) years experience of progressively responsible senior management experience in healthcare organization.
    - At least five (5) years experience in a large (greater than 300) Physician Practice Multi-Specialty environment or integrated Health System, preferably with an academic affiliation.

    - At least five (5) years public accounting experience working with healthcare industry clients.
    - Professional Billing Revenue Cycle experience.
    - Hands-on experience with budgeting, proformas, and physician compensation models.
    - At least five (5) years public accounting experience working with healthcare industry clients.
