  • Overview

    Interventional Radiology Nursing at Seattle Children's Hospital support nursing care and patient safety during invasive procedures done with image guidance Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, MRI, and CT. Nurses in Interventional Radiology partner with providers to coordinate procedures, circulate cases in the IR suite and in remote locations, and provide patient and family education. We provide care to newborns-adults, covering every care specialty at Seattle Children's \. We support patient care in our two state of the art IR suites, at the bedside in the ICUs, as well as in combination with other procedures in OR, Cath Lab, and the Endoscopy lab. It is a fast paced, multi-disciplinary team, including radiologists, anesthesiologists, technologists, and Child Life specialists.     Hours of operations Interventional Radiology are as follows: Monday-Friday 7:00 am - 6:30 pm. After hours/weekend/holiday call support is offered for urgent/emergent procedures. Participating in a call rotation is required, shifts vary. Some cross training to support other procedural areas may be expected

    Requirements

    Required:

    • Minimum of 3 years current RN experience in an acute care hospital setting
    • Active Washington State RN license
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
    • BLS certification (American Heart Association Health Care Provider, American Safety and Health Institution Professional Level or American AED/CPR Association - Professional Rescuer)
    • PALS certification within 6 months of hire

    • Current Interventional Radiology experience, ICU, ED, Cath lab, PACU or OR experience is strongly preferred.
    • BSN
    • Current pediatric hospital experience as a RNCurrent IV skills
