  • Overview

    What you will do: The Investment Analyst will work closely with the Investment Manager, Investor Director, and Seattle Children’s Finance Department on all facets of managing Seattle Children’s, $2.1B investment portfolio. The Investment Analyst position encompasses both operational and investment analysis responsibilities with the goal of assuming increasing investment responsibility over time.

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Data Management & Reporting: Ensure the capture of all performance and exposure information from external investment managers.  Maintain internal models and performance/exposure reports.  Maintain the accuracy and timeliness of performance, risk and CRM systems.

    • Committee Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and organization of quarterly investment committee meeting materials.  Liaise with external stakeholders and Children’s staff to organize and schedule investment committee meetings.

    • Investment Management: Participate in meetings and calls with external investment managers. Assist in due diligence of external managers.

    • In conjunction with Children’s Finance/Treasury staff assist with subscription and redemption activity as well as the completion of regulatory filings and audit requirements.
    • Generate, organize, and maintain electronic records to ensure institutional memory.

    Requirements

    Required Education/Experience:
    - Bachelor’s Degree
    - Minimum two years of finance or investment-related work experience, preferably at an endowment, foundation, investment consulting firm, or family office.

    Preferred:
    - Progress towards the Chartered Financial Analyst designation is strongly preferred.
