    The Science Education Department at Seattle Children’s Research Institute is seeking an outgoing person with a passion for educating young people to join our team as a Mobile Lab Scientist. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as the person in this role will provide instruction to students, teachers, and families on our 45 foot state-of-the art mobile laboratory and onsite at Seattle Children’s Research Institute. We offer an high-energy, fast-paced work environment, and the chance to inspire the next generation of scientists, healthcare leaders, and other STEM professionals. This rewarding and unique role also includes the opportunity to drive the mobile laboratory to schools in Western Washington. Commercial driver training will be provided for team members who are assigned to drive the mobile lab.


    Required Education/Experience:
    - Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or scientific discipline
    - Prior experience in a laboratory setting; may include relevant educational programs
    - Per the driver's license requirements noted below, must have a driving record acceptable to Risk Management

    Required Credentials:
    - Current Washington State Driver’s License
    - If assigned to drive the Science Adventure Lab, must have a Class B Commercial Driver's License


    - Prior experience teaching in a formal or informal setting
    - Working knowledge of area of research specialization
    - Experience with research laboratory techniques
