    We have an exciting opportunity for a Lab Assistant III at Seattle Children’s! 

    This position will join the Research Operations team and will be responsible for supporting the laboratories of Seattle Children’s Research Institute by maintaining clean and safe glassware and autoclaving materials at our downtown Seattle Research building(s).  We are seeking a self-motivated and customer service oriented individual whose primary duties will be collecting glassware and items for autoclaving, processing in designated glass wash stations, and afterwards returning materials to the laboratories onsite.  This position will also be responsible for some reporting, training lab staff to operate autoclave equipment, and may provide support for receiving and mail services as a member of the Operations team.  The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail to follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures.

    Required Education/Experience:
    - AA or college chemistry, microbiology courses and/or related experience in a laboratory.
    - Familiarity with research laboratory environments 
    - Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology or Molecular Genetics or related field
