As one of the nation's top five pediatric research centers, Seattle Children's Research Institute is dedicated to providing hope, care, and cures to help every child live the healthiest and most fulfilling life possible.
Our investigators are involved in hundreds of projects that cover every phase of research, from studying how diseases work to improving investigational therapies. The Director, Center Business Operations provides leadership and directs the day-to-day center business operations for the Integrated Business Office (IBO). Works closely with the Vice President of Center Business Operations, Center Directors, and leaders across Seattle Children’s to direct the development and execution of operational goals, monitors and analyzes performance metrics, and ensures researchers are financially sustainable. Responsible for monitoring the Integrated Business Office research portfolio, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory standards and organizational goals and priorities. Provide leadership to develop, implement, and oversee infrastructure to enhance research at Seattle Children’s.

- Master's Degree in Health Administration, Public Administration, Business Management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years increasingly responsible experience in a complex research/healthcare setting, including at least three (3) years managing staff.
- Minimum of seven (7) years experience in research administration, including pre- and post-award management experience with NIH and/or federal grants and contracts, private foundation grants and awards, and industry-sponsored research and clinical trial agreements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead in an environment of rapid change.
- Proven leadership experience with Lean methodology.
- Certified Research Administrator.
- Academic Medical Center Experience.
