A fully supported postdoctoral position is available in the Coler Translational Research Group to characterize immune response of novel vaccines for infectious diseases including schistosomiasis. Previous experience in human immunology - functional antibody-based and cellular immunoassays, including multiparametric flow cytometry - is required. The postdoctoral fellow will develop expertise in the assessment of vaccine mediated immune responses and systems immunology. A key aspect will include combining information from multiple levels such as genes, proteins and whole cells to gain a clear, multi-scale understanding of vaccine function during infection and disease. The fellowship is designed to prepare the post-doctoral level trainee for a career in a non-profit biotechnology- and multidisciplinary setting. Excellent organizational and communication skills are required.
