Join our top notch Research Building and Engineering team in support of Seattle Children's mission. This position will be a member of our Building and Engineering team located in downtown Seattle that supports over 1 million square footage of clinical and laboratory space and 2000 staff members.
Provide a wide variety of engineering and maintenance functions that ensure a safe, comfortable, and compliant environment for staff and visitors. Ensure that facilities meet all Life Safety Codes. Assist the Facilities department with coordination renovation and construction projects to assure timely design, on-schedule construction, move coordination, financial accounting, timely communication, and minimal disruption to Children's operations. Ensure facilities are maintained in compliance with all applicable codes and inspecting agencies. Develop, manage, and monitor operating budget and projections required to address infrastructure maintenance and lifecycle repairs or replacement. Assure program and departmental functional needs are met with the most effective use of resources including space, architect time, interior design, and construction.

- Bachelor's degree preferably in Engineering OR equivalent knowledge and training that demonstrates competency.
- Five or more years' experience in operation of high-pressure steam boilers, related systems/devices, and facility management.
- Five years' experience in a manager or director position of a life sciences research and development facility.
- PE or Master's degree in related field.
