Responsible for clinical telephone triage and consultation, child mental health education, and all aspects of the referral process for patients to the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine. Participate in care coordination activities to remove barriers for families to participate in treatment. Specialized knowledge, judgment and skill are required in both mental health diagnosis and treatment methods. Apply the knowledge and skill necessary to provide appropriate interactions with staff, patients and families of all ages.
Additionally, this role is responsible for scheduling accurate and timely appointments and modeling Seattle Children’s core values by providing excellent, quality customer experiences for Seattle Children’s patients, families and clinic partners. This role will schedule visits for all of the Psychiatry Specialty Clinics. This role may be the first point of contact for patients and families seeking care in the Psychiatry Clinic and will provide valuable information and reassurance to families; demonstrating empathy, high attention to detail, aptitude at multi-tasking, effective prioritization and commitment to teamwork. This role works collaboratively with team members to provide quality service to ensure delivery of safe patient care.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years college coursework in Social Sciences or related field
- One (1) year of experience in a clinical setting dealing with patients with Psychiatric conditions
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other related Social Services Degree
- Registered Counselor Certification
