Clinical Research Coordinator III

Provides oversight to research staff and projects in assigned division. Collaborate with members of the research team in the organization, implementation and completion of clinical research trials. Oversee, create and maintain regulatory documents; organize protocol implementation and site initiation visits and conduct routine monitoring of clinical studies. Ensure that research projects are conducted in compliance with federal regulations, institutional policies/departmental guidelines and standards of Good Clinical Practice.

The candidate in this role would join an interdisciplinary, multi-site study team. We will be conducting a randomized controlled trial (RCT). The study will test the efficacy of a parent-focused intervention to promote language and literacy development in toddlers with cleft palate. This position will assist with participant recruitment, coordination of study visits, and coordination with other study sites. The ideal candidate for this role will be outgoing, have experience working with young children and parents, be detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Fluency in Spanish is also preferred, as this will be the preferred language for some of our participating families.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Work with the study investigators to identify potentially eligible participants.
• Describe the study and recruit participants.
• Coordinate study visits for screening, data collection, intervention sessions, and outcomes assessments.
• Track the completion of study elements.
• Assist participating parents, as needed, with study procedures (e.g., telemedicine visits, recording and sending smartphone videos for data collection and as part of the intervention).

Required Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Minimum of four (4) years of research-related experience OR Master’s Degree in related discipline and three (3) years of research-related experience.

• Pediatric research experience.

• Confirmed proficiency in a second language via successful completion of a language assessment may be required for certain departments.

Preferred:

• Master’s Degree in a scientific discipline.

• CCRA certification.

• Database management skills.

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.

Seattle Children’s offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

This compensation range is specific to Seattle, positions located outside of Seattle may be compensated differently depending on various factors.
