Post-Doctoral Fellow / Research Scientist Positions in T cell Immunity to Pathogens and Cancers   Laboratories of Dr. Surojit Sarkar and Dr. Vandana Kalia are seeking highly motivated, energetic and inquisitive Scientists interested in translational discoveries into T cell memory and exhaustion in infections, immunizations and solid tumors. Projects in the Lab are investigating gene regulatory networks in exhausted T cells and applying resulting immunomics towards development of novel adoptive immunotherapies to solid tumors. These studies feed directly forward into our seamless pipeline of engineering more efficacious CAR T cells that are long-lived, exhaustion-proof and responsive to checkpoint blockade immunotherapies, thereby aimed at achieving life-long remission from cancer. A parallel newly funded NIH-project on the durability and breadth of immunological memory, elicited by novel COVID19 vaccine candidates developed in our Labs, is aimed towards the universal targeting of the rapidly evolving SARS-CoV2 field variants in humans. Located at the heart of the world-class biomedical research cluster in Seattle, the Sarkar and Kalia laboratories have ongoing collaborations with Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Benaroya Research Institute, Institute of Protein Design at the UW and Institute for Systems Biology. Interested candidates are encouraged to send an email to Dr. Sarkar and/or Dr. Kalia.   Candidates would be considered either at the level of Research Scientist or Post-Doctoral Fellow, based on their research experience and skillsets.
