Our immunotherapies offer hope to families who have exhausted other treatment options - our work directly saves lives.  We are seeking a bright, enthusiastic, and highly-motivated biologist to join our Research and Development group. This position contributes to a team focused on translating tumor immunotherapy from the bench into pediatric patients with cancer. We look for people who are inspired by our mission and who would fit in well with the collaborative, rigorous, and entrepreneurial spirit of our research team culture.   The primary purpose of this position is to develop and analyze the potential of lentiviral vectors carrying differentially regulated payloads, including chimeric antigen receptors (CARs), to create more efficacious cell therapies for solid tumors. Under the direction of a senior research scientist, the successful candidate will use their established molecular and cellular biology skill sets to create both tumor cell lines and primary T cells and develop and implement assays to assess the cytotoxic and therapeutic potential of the T cell products, both in vitro and in vivo.  Lab techniques include basic and advanced molecular biology and operation of Incucyte, MSD, flow cytometers, cell sorters, and liquid handling robots. The ideal candidate will have significant work experience in flow cytometry, tissue culture, molecular biology, and immunology. This position will be extensively involved in designing experiments, implementing new strategies, generating data, analyzing results, and preparing reports in support of funded research studies. To ensure successful project completion and teamwork, the incumbent will demonstrate strong critical thinking abilities, ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, meet deadlines, and excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
