This is a dynamic Ambulatory Services RN position for the Pediatric Urology Clinic. Urology is a surgical specialty serving patients w/simple to complex surgical evaluations and also serves medical needs for dysfunctional voiding patients.

Works closely with the clinical research leadership of Cancer and Blood Disorders Center (CBDC) to establish management systems and develop strategies that will benefit the Oncology therapeutic clinical research operations. Oversees the process of study startup, protocol implementation, data management/monitoring and study close out. The Care Coordinator (CC) works in partnership with the health care team to coordinate patient care and transitional support by providing administrative and clinical support to patients and families. Assess eligibility for and assist families’ enrollment in WA State medical assistance programs (Medicaid, BHP, CHIP, etc.) and financial aid. They assist with referrals to organizational and community resources as identified by the care team. Provide linkage and referral to community resources for families served by Bellevue. Participate as a member of Bellevue multidisciplinary case management team.
Using culturally and linguistically appropriate methods, the Care Coordinator addresses barriers, such as transportation and health literacy, for target language speaking families and facilitates effective communication between target language-speaking families, their primary care physicians, Children’s health care providers, and the community. The Care Coordinator works to increase trust between families and providers, increase self-efficacy among target language speaking families accessing and navigating the health care system, and increase effective communication between Children’s providers, partner clinics, and target language speaking families.
Regional full-time community care coordinator has additional responsibilities including regional site of care assignment, participation in community forums, health care for homeless families, and child-passenger safety. Scientist/Senior Scientist, Hematopoietic Cell Gene Editing / Gene Therapy
Summary of position:
Create transformative genetic therapies for pediatric immune diseases in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We are seeking an experienced laboratory scientist with interests in hematopoietic cell therapies, gene editing, and translational immunology. This scientist will help to lead a research team focused on generating and testing hematopoetic stem cell gene editing approaches for treating blood and immune disorders. You will join a robust, established team that is expanding upon our gene editing platforms (see for example PMID: 32493794; 26424571; 31722988; 31279229), maximizing your potential to achieve high impact research publications and therapeutic products. We are in downtown Seattle, a city that is surrounded by lakes, the Puget Sound, and the Cascade and Olympic mountains- a great location for both urban and outdoor adventurers. The projects are collaborative and supported by biotech, NIH, and institutional funding sources, and the laboratory is led by Dr. David Rawlings, Director of the Center for Immunity and Immunotherapies at the Seattle Children's Research Institute.
