We are offering a $10,000 sign on bonus for eligible new hires!   The Seattle Children’s Social Work Department is seeking an experienced social worker to join our inpatient general medicine team.  This fast paced inpatient service serves patients from birth to 21 admitted to the hospital with a wide variety of conditions and acuities.  As a social worker on this team you have the opportunity to work in a teaching hospital with a multidisciplinary team of doctors, residents, nurses, and care coordinators to support patients and their families throughout their admission.  Your work will include psychosocial assessment, supportive counseling, crisis intervention, screening and referral, occasional end of life support, assessment for safe discharge, resource coordination and navigation, and advocacy support.  There are additional opportunities for engagement in clinical practice and program development as a member of the Social Work Department.    This is a 1.0 FTE position that works every third weekend from 9:30-6p.  Weekday scheduled days are variable with a 7:30a-8a start time. Our goal is to maintain a consistent schedule with no more than 5 working days in a row.  The social worker hired would have participation in the development of this schedule and will work with their manager to set a start date for weekends. #LI-JS2
