Seattle Children's is looking for an experienced Social Worker to be a Supervisor within our awesome Social Work team! This is a working supervisor position with 40% of the role dedicated to overseeing a team of 8-10 Social Workers and 60% of the role in a direct Social Work position. The 60% portion of the work will focus on acute and chronic medically complex patients. This Supervisor role will work within the Oncology department.

Social Work Supervisor duties include:
- Oversee the delivery of clinical social work services and provide supervision to social work staff within a specific program area.
- Serve in a significant leadership role for the department and hospital.
- As a senior clinician, provide advanced clinical social work services to children with acute and chronic illness, their families, the staff of Seattle Children’s Hospital and the community in a managed care environment.
- Lead in the promotion of culturally appropriate family-centered care and wellness of patients and families by identifying, interpreting, and reducing psychosocial factors contributing to illness.
- Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals for staff.

As an integral member of the Health Care Team, the RN functions within the Scope of Practice as defined by the State, the ANA Scope and Standards for Pediatric Nursing Practice, and adheres to Seattle Children’s policies/procedures and guidelines of care. Responsible for providing safe, family centered patient care. Using the Nursing Care Process, the RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care in a collaborative method with the patient and patient’s family, significant others, and members of the health care team. May be required to provide supervision and delegation of tasks to Nurse Technicians, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Medical Assistants, Certified Nursing Assistants, and others as defined by the State Administrative Code. Assists in meeting Seattle Children’s strategic goals by incorporating the initiatives to support the strategic plans into the daily work, i.e. Continuous Performance Improvement (CPI), ART, etc.

Registered Nurse - Neurology (1.0FTE)
We're hiring for a Registered Nurse in our Neurology Clinic. Responsibilities will include patient education, care coordination and back office support; phone calls, patient triage, patient/family follow up. This RN may be asked to support Bellevue, North and/or South Clinics as needed.
Fluent Spanish language skills are preferred to help support our Spanish language clinic in Seattle.
The experts at Seattle Children’s Neurology clinic evaluate and care for babies, children and teens with many kinds of complex neurological conditions. They diagnose and treat: seizures, epilepsy, headaches, mitochondrial and neurometabolic disorders, movement disorders, muscular dystrophy, neuro muscular disorders, cerebral palsy, and vascular neurologic issues including stroke. Diagnostic and treatment options include EEG, EMG, Neropsychology testing, ketogenic diet, and vagus nerve stimulation (VNS). Neurology participates in multidisciplinary clinics including Autism, Neurogenetics, Neurosurgery, Hemotology/Oncology, Rehabilitation Medicine and the Pre-natal Diagnosis Clinic. Seattle Children’s has the only comprehensive epilepsy program in the Pacific Northwest especially for children and teens. Our clinic is the main teaching site for the University of Washington's nationally recognized program for licensed doctors who are receiving specialized training in pediatric neurology.

Perform laboratory testing and provide results to clinicians.

Assist the assigned division research team in the organization, implementation and completion of clinical research trials. Maintain regulatory documents; assist the Principal Investigator in the planning of protocol implementation and site initiation visits and routine monitoring of clinical studies. Along with the PI, ensure that research projects are conducted in compliance with federal regulations, institutional policies/departmental guidelines, and standards of Good Clinical Practice.
Assist members of the team with development, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance systems and activities. Perform internal audits, assist with site audits, and coordinate the development and review of Standard Operating Procedures.
Oversee daily operations and orthopedic technologist and Medical Assistant staff in the Orthopedic Clinic. Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate medical assistant support staff; and manage clinic flow start up and control through continuous monitoring and response. Work collaboratively with management on department processes, budget, staffing and personnel issues; model excellent service quality standards; participate in identifying, developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives; and maintain/support systems used by the department.Serve as a liaison concerning Orthopedics and other departments.
The Program Coordinator I is responsible for coordinating activities associated with a specific program or group of programs in a specialty/functional area including scheduling, coordination of communication, data management, document preparation, and process improvement. Responsible for ensuring effective communication among stakeholders and program staff. Performs housekeeping and related activities with the focus on patient exam and inpatient rooms, surgery, utilities, and the general environment. Responsible for continuously demonstrating proficiency in basic cleaning skills used in patient, staff, office, clinic, or visitor areas. Routinely demonstrates both knowledge and skill in the safe use of chemicals, equipment, cleaning techniques and infection control methods necessary to maintain the departments established quality standards. Demonstrates ability to speak, write, and understand English. Demonstrates competence in the safe handling and removal of medical and hazardous waste. Maintains the physical environment of the hospital at the highest level of cleanliness, both from an appearance and infection control standpoint.

Maintain mechanical rooms and related equipment. Perform maintenance, repairs, and testing of complex building systems and their controls including utilizing Building Automation Systems for adjustments and repairs. Work independently to develop statistical aspects of protocol and data analysis plans, provide statistical consultation, conduct analyses and write results, and oversee or coordinate routine statistical reports.
To provide oversight to the clinical functioning of the Pediatric Feeding Program (PFP). Develop and coordinate clinical orientation, continued competency, clinical standard work, and optimal professional development for the clinical team. Collaborate with service line director in the hiring process for the Pediatric Feeding Program’s interdisciplinary team, including Psychologists (PhDs), Mental Health Therapists (MHTs), BCBA/BCaBAs, oral-motor therapists, Dieticians and Medical personnel (e.g., ARNP) directly involved within this program, and to communicate and coordinate the advancement of organizational and department/division goals. Represent the Pediatric Feeding Programto the leadership team in the provision of overall direction for the practice of the interdisciplinary team within it. Drive continuous performance improvement, quality improvement, and education and research efforts delivered by the Pediatric Feeding Program team.
Provide supervision to practicum students, psychology and psychiatry residents, and program staff. Will also provide consultation to SCAC, other departments (e.g. GI), hospital inpatient units, and BioBehavior Program-Inpatient Psychiatric Unit staff on mileu program development and individual case planning, as it relates to patients within or referred to the PFP.
Clinical role: Provide direct care and assume primary responsibility for clinical management of patients referred to the Pediatric Feeding Program.
